PIAGET THEORY OF COGNITIVE DEVELOPMENT

PIAGET THEORY OF COGNITIVE DEVELOPMENT:- According to piaget theory the first stage of your child's life begins at birth and lasts through age 2. During this period, your little one learns about the world by using their senses to interact with their surroundings.  people have an innate need to understand how the world works and to find order structure and predictability for equilibrium or a state of balance.

The sensorimotor stage:-birth to age 2

In plaget’s theory the sensorimotor stage is first and is defined as the period when infant think by means of their senses and motor actions. As every new parents will, in facts continually touch, manipulate, look, listen to and even bite and chew objects.

The preoperational stage:- In the preoperational stage, children use their new  abilities to  represent objects in a wide variety of activities, but they so it in ways that are organized or fully logician. One of the most obvious example of this kind of cognition is dramatic play, the improvised mask-believed of preschool children.

The concrete operational stage:- As children continue into elementary school, they become able to represent ideas and events more flexibly and logically. Their rules of thinking still seem very basic by adult standard and usually operate unconsciously, but they before to be successful with many academic tasks.

The formal operational stage:- In the last of the Piagetian stages, the child becomes able to response not only about tangible objects and events, but also about hypothetical as abstract ones. Hence it has the name formal operational stages- the period when the individual operate on forms or representation.
